re: OOC: Codes of Conduct

Player Code of Conduct

Be Respectful - We will not tolerate trolling behavior of any sort.  This includes:

  • Ninja Looting
  • Toy Spamming
  • Spell Spamming outside of combat
  • Not stopping a particular action or behavior when asked
  • Anything against Blizzard EULA or TOS

Avoid Real World Religion, Politics, and News - If you feel you must talk about such things, please make a Chat Channel for it and share the channel with those that wish to discuss such things.  Most of us are playing on an RP server to ESCAPE reality, please don't use the guild as a soap box or a forum to vent your thoughts and opinions on such matters.

Be Helpful within Limits - While it is good to be helpful, nothing requires that another player stop what they are doing to assist another.

Asking for Reasonable Assistance is Encouraged - We are not a leveling guild.  We are not here to provide quick runs as a service.

Be a Self-Starter - Do the research on the things that you want to do.  If you need assistance from the guild to make it happen, have it researched to the point that you know what to ask for.  If you ask for assistance but don't know where to start, start with the questions that come to mind on what you are trying to do and find those answers.  While you can ask fellow guild members, do not expect us to be an encyclopedia of knowledge for you.  You may get a lmgtfy response, which is acceptable.

Be a Model Player - While this all is expected inside the guild, it is also important that in your Out of Character comments and interactions on the server that you be respectful of others, be fair in your interactions, if a practice is not common place, you must communicate it up front.  This can include things like specialize looting rules in group or raids.  These should be made known to all members of the group/raid when they join.

Step Up - If you want to raid, group, run heroics, run mythics, or run guild events, don't be afraid to step up to the role and make it happen.

Raider Code of Conduct

Be Fair with Loot - If it is a guild run and you get a drop, be willing to pass on future loot for other players to gain loot from the run as well.  We are not in the business of gearing a single character up as much as possible before gearing others.  If only one character can benefit from the loot that is dropped on multiple drops and it is "Bind On Pickup"(BOP) then it will be provided to that character.  If an item that is dropped is "Bind on Equip"(BOE) then it will go to the guild bank to be distributed/auctioned off in guild.

Be Prepared - Come to raids as equipped as you can be.  This includes having Battle and Guardian Elixirs covered, Rune Stones, Appropriate Gems, Appropriate Enchants, and Proper Glyphs.  If there is gear that can be improved outside of the raid, you are expected to work towards that gear.  A minimum iLevel will be required to raid, a Preferred iLevel will be designated for what iLevel you should be at minimum before you are no longer expected to try to improve gear outside of the Raid group.  While working with gear that will be replaced, the Appropriate Gems and Enchants may be relaxed to not be Top End to save on resources.

Be Open to Suggestion - There is no one solution to solve any one raid/raid challenge.  As such, be open to suggestions.  While the cookie cutter strategies posted in videos online might work for those guilds with their compositions, we will not always have that matching composition and thus we will have to adapt.

Be Knowledgeable of Your Class/Role - If you are grouping or raiding, you will need to be informed on the things that your class can and cannot do.  Be sure to know what things you can do in a pinch or to help alleviate stress during fights.  This can including knowing and using your damage mitigation abilities, being vocal about using abilities that assist the raid but have a long cool down or shared cool down with other characters, performing an action that may push a mechanic further and change the behavior of an encounter.

Run Randoms - You are expected to run Randoms to get familiar with dungeons, raids, and fights.  While the mechanics may just be powered through, you should make an effort to learn about the mechanics on a basic level so you are familiar with what it will look like in a Normal+ raid.

Assist One Another - Guild members should work to help one another improve, this can include assisting on gear runs through dungeons, assisting in progression of legendary quests, or assisting with materials as needed or crafted items where possible.  This should is not required to be a free giving exercise.  If a crafter makes something for you, they are allowed to name a price on said item.  It is encouraged that the price be enough to cover cost of materials and include a tip, but should not exceed current auction rates.

Craft what you Can - If you have cooking, please make food for yourself and extras to share when possible.  If you are a crafting class that has the ability to make enchants, potions, elixirs, gems, armor, weapons, glyphs, etc. please be willing to make extra to supply the guild for use during raids.  If you have Rune Stones that you are not using due to having the Trinket Rune Stone, please consider sharing your Rune Stones that you are not using with the guild.
